Ahh now I remember why I quit. Now I certainly do not know what happened. And I can't say that I don't think Joker bots. But I agree with Kami that criticizing the other team for botting in game is pretty lame. Things like that should get handled on IRC or prior to the match. I remember a scrim MD had where something of this nature happened with Elle. I can't say we ever wanted to scrim that team again or cared to respect them much to this day. Sometimes it can get frustrating to not do as good as you think you can do. And I have had experiences where we knew someone on the other team was cheating but we were forced to just keep quiet and discuss it with them after the match. Anyways, things like these, among many other things, are what annoy a lot of peeps and make them leave the game mostly because it shows a lot of disrespect. Thats my 2 cents....

And Rookie how was Brazil....good to see you're back =)

Tizzle, don't try to make serious problem of your quit. Long time ago when we had a long going flame, I had a post that most people agreed on. I won't post it again since it's been long one and we lost it already in our old forum.
It's a stressful game and we tend to make more mistakes during the game than ouside the game. However, it's more important to stay friends outside the game and there's nothing more seriously damaging friendship than double talks, rumors and "serious" points of view that are based on crippled stories of interested parties.
See for yourself. When somebody mistakenly called Elle a botter, it was actually emotional and not serious. Anyway, instead of trying to resolve that problem in private (like you just rightly pointed out) you created a wave of rumors and even posted here in public.
In my past in ut99 and Q1 I was called botter on regular basis, thanks to regular training. But I never made a big deal of it. There's a big difference between being called a botter and being caught doing this on different occasions.
The distance between Joker and Elle as big as distance between Earth and Moon.

Listen dudes....

It's a fact that everybody wants to be #1....as a team or as a person, anything less is frustrating. Some people can handle losses and some can't....it's an ego thing. Yeah there's pricks out there that like to kid themselves by using bots just to get that ego boost...lonely people. But there's also people out there with mad skillz. It also depends on the day and time you play. I've had shitty days but I've also had insane days where even i can't believe i hit that guy at that speed doing that mad ass move....yeah...ping and a good day some may call it...they are 100% right ;) You also got to be hungry. I was 10 times a better player before than how i play now....cause i'm not hungry enough for the win.

Anyways....point being is...that many people start accussing and stressing out cause of frustration, whether the other dude is a botter or not....it's an ego thing....he could be better than you but he could also be a botter

Oh here's another example of an ego trip...I was playing on the inf server yesterday and MD kamakazi played for about 2 minutes but quit cause he wasn't getting the low ping that he's used to on other servers...shit he had 65....isn't that good enough? no cause....he doesn't like to lose...its an ego thing you know ;) LOSER

Agree ego is a big thing in this game. Most people who started playing 2k4 LGI have not even played a year and were still in early stages of gaming maturity when main problem in their life was their own ping. :bsod:

Very true...I used to whine about a 80 ping and there are tons of people who only get as low as that on their best days. But people's connections have also improved a lot from when you guys used to play with a 100 ping. Now people generally ping pretty well (70's) on average. Though in Kami's case, his packet loss gets ridiculous sometimes.

I think this answers your question kamikaze.
ANd tizzle...it was pretty fun while it lasted. Too bad it's over.

I agree about what Breeze said. But as Hogs posted, there is the "botter calling" from being mad and from inflated ego and there is the "botter calling" coming from a common agreement reached by different people who spectated that botter.

I guess I fixed quoting in the last message incorrectly, but message formatting was messed up.
Desire to win is a good motivation. But it also leads to a lot of frustration. In my opinion, better way to top is to "improve your own game" and "learning from others". Both requires ability to self critisize and be objective. And not as simple as just wanting to always win.
